We can help you with the application process!

A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document employers often need before hiring a foreign worker.

A positive LMIA (confirmation letter) shows that the employer has tried to recruit Canadians first and that a foreign worker is needed to fill the job.

Employers apply to Service Canada (ESDC) for an LMIA by submitting job details and recruitment efforts; fees apply to the employer. Processing times vary by stream (high-wage, low-wage, seasonal, etc.).

Once the LMIA is approved, the employer gives the positive LMIA letter (or LMIA number) to the worker, who includes it in their work permit application.

If you are an employer, we can guide you through the LMIA process; if you are a worker, we can liaise with employers to secure and use a positive LMIA.
