The Provincial Nominee Program lets Canadian provinces and territories nominate immigrants who meet their specific needs. 

Each region has its own streams targeting students, skilled workers, business people, or other groups. To apply, first confirm you meet a province’s criteria (work experience, language, education, job offer, etc.). 

Many PNP streams are aligned with Express Entry: nominated candidates receive 600 additional CRS points in the Express Entry pool, virtually guaranteeing a PR invitation. Provinces also run non-Express Entry streams; if nominated outside Express Entry, you apply directly for PR with IRCC. Note: Quebec and Nunavut do not participate in the PNP (Quebec has its own selection system).
